Emil Georg Bührle (1890-1956), entrepreneur and founder of IHAG Privatbank, was a passionate art-lover. He gathered together one of the world's finest private art collections, ranging from old masters via the impressionists to Cézanne, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Braque and Picasso. Since 1960, a large part of the collection has been open to the public at a dedicated museum, the Foundation E. G. Bührle Collection.

Sponsorship from IHAG Privatbank enables the Foundation to organise exhibitions drawn from the collection, thereby actively perpetuating Emil Georg Bührle's legacy.
